A barnyard just isn't a barnyard without a few chickens scratching in the dirt. No family farm or
country homestead is complete without them. They're easy to care for, take up relatively little
space, come in a variety of colorful breeds, provide tasty eggs and fertilizer for the garden, eat
harmful slugs and insects, and can even be socialized to human contact so they make great pets.
You don't even need a farm to enjoy the benefits of owning chickens. A small flock will fit easily
into a back yard, even in town!
